Is there any legal system or practice in the history of China that is applicable to today? China's traditional legal system is deeply influenced by China's traditional culture. The culture of more than 2,000 years has shaped the character of the Chinese nation and passed it down from generation to generation. Therefore, there is no doubt that a real country ruled by law can be better established based on China's traditional legal system. Confucianism is deeply rooted, and the core ideas such as "pro-respect", "rule by courtesy" and "rule by virtue" still affect us today. For example, the criminal law principles of the Western Zhou Dynasty, such as "the suspected crime should be lightened, the suspected crime should be forgiven", "the young and the old should be given a lighter punishment" and "the crime should be compared with the punishment", and the principle of "concealment of relatives" in the Han Dynasty, especially the principles of "combined punishment for several crimes", "surrender to reduce punishment" and "analogy principle" in the Tang Dynasty, still affect today's legal system.
