Lotus palm is a perennial succulent herb, plant height up to 60 centimeters, with stolons. Leaf clusters dense, erect rosette, leaf obovate, fleshy, hairless, the surface of the white powder, to emerald green, a few powder blue or dark green. The pedicels are drawn from the white leaf clusters, and the flower stems are soft, bracteate, and glaucous. There are 8 to 24 flowers, cymes, corolla red, petals lanceolate not open, flowering from June to October.
