Where are the producing areas of Wan Wen Beads and Zhu Chao?

Tracing back to the source, the source of Buddhist beads in Qing Dynasty is the Buddhist beads of Tibetan Buddhism.

Beads, also called prayer beads, are tools and tokens used by Buddhists to count and bind their minds when they recite Buddha. They are usually made of fragrant wood and hard-shelled tree seeds and pass through a thread. According to the standard, it can usually be divided into three categories: holding beads, matching beads and hanging beads.

Holding a bead, that is, holding a bead in your hand, ranges from 18 to 54 beads, often with graceful pendants and tassels, commonly known as holding a bead in the literary and art circles. Zhu Pei, that is, the beads worn on the wrist, with 18 beads as the most common, commonly known as bracelets, is also the prototype of court bracelets in the Qing Dynasty. Hanging beads, that is, beads hanging around the neck, usually 108 beads, with Buddha's head, separated beads and disciple beads, are also the source of the birth of Zhu Chao in the Qing Dynasty.

Zhu Chao evolved from Buddha beads, and its structure is similar to that of Buddha beads. Zhu Chao consists of seven parts: body, bead, Buddha's head, shadow, memorial, pendant and pendant angle, and its circumference is roughly between 130 ~ 170cm. "Body" is composed of 108 beads, representing 65438+ February, 24 solar terms, 72 and other years, and the total number is set to 108. There is also a saying that Buddhism believes that there are 108 kinds of troubles in life. In the old days, Buddhist temples rang the bell 108 times every morning and evening, which was called "waking up for 180 troubles".
