The National Football League (NFL) arranged a roadshow on the campus of the Agricultural University of China (AUC) the day before yesterday to give Chinese friends a more detailed understanding of American

Rugby as well as American culture. Former Philadelphia Eagles tight end Gordon Lo, an ambassador for the NFL, came to the campus specifically to explain the basics of the NFL sport to students.

A three-time All-Star, Lu Gao-wei, a former Philadelphia Eagles player, has lived in Taiwan, China, and has also worked as a football commentator for China Central Television. As a result, he is fluent in Chinese. The roadshow included many interactive games, with quarterback passing, kicking, and other trivia games related to rugby skills. I'm honored to represent America's No. 1 sport, the NFL, in China to meet with our fans and friends, and I'm very encouraged to see so many students interested in the sport today," said Lu. ,The NFL began marketing activities in China as early as 2004, and in October 2007, they opened a permanent office in Beijing, China. This is the NFL's sixth international office after London, Tokyo, Mexico, Toronto and Frankfurt. From this month until the end of the 2009 Super Bowl, the NFL will conduct activities in Beijing and Shanghai to bring more people closer to American football.

Football Camp (Beijing)

The Belt and Flag Football Camp, organized by Key Way Sports Consulting (the NFL's only local partner), will kick off in Beijing in August.

The camp will be a closed, 10-day program. The coaches are Zhang Nan, a longtime host of CCTV5 and Sina-NFL, and Li Chaoran, a Chinese rugby player
