Hui festival

Because of their belief in Islam, the Hui people mainly celebrate three major festivals every year, namely Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and Holy Day, all of which are calculated according to the Islamic calendar.

1. The annual teaching calendar is Ramadan in September, and Muslims over the age of 0/2 for men and 9 for women are required to fast. After the expiration of fasting, every time Eid al-Fitr begins at dawn, wash, bathe, put on new clothes and go to the mosque to worship.

Eid al-Adha is usually held 70 days after Eid al-Fitr. Before the festival, everyone cleaned up and fried oil incense, prickly heat and flowers. At dawn on the day of the festival, take a bath, burn incense, put on clean clothes and go to the mosque to attend the ceremony. After the ceremony, a grand slaughter ceremony will be held. Kill the meat and eat it, send it to relatives and friends, and give it to the poor.

3. Holy Day is a memorial day to commemorate the birth and death of Muhammad. According to legend, his birth and death were all on March 12 of the Islamic calendar, which is generally called "Hadith" and commonly known as "Congregation". On the day of the festival, I first went to the mosque to recite the scriptures, praise the saints, tell the life story of Muhammad, and educate the Muslims not to forget the most sacred teachings and be a real Muslim.
