Brief introduction of Li Ximei, Henan

Introduction to Li Ximei, Henan: Li Ximei was born in February 1942. He was born in Nanyang, Henan. Graduated from Correspondence College of Painting and Calligraphy in China, Associate Research Librarian (Senior Painter).

After retirement, Li Ximei still carried forward the traditional painting and calligraphy mounting skills. On the basis of traditional mounting technology, she developed Macy's manual mounting method. Macy's manual mounting overcomes the shortcomings of manual mounting and mechanical mounting in the past, such as damaged paper quality of paintings and calligraphy, weakened touch-up of paintings and calligraphy, and susceptibility to mildew, which not only makes the mounted paintings and calligraphy works smoother and smoother, but also prolongs the preservation time of paintings and calligraphy works.

In order to inherit the traditional methods and innovative methods, Li Ximei wrote the book "Tradition and Innovation of Mounting Techniques of Calligraphy and Painting in China", which was published by Henan Fine Arts Publishing House.

Li Ximei has undertaken mounting tasks for large-scale exhibitions at provincial and municipal levels for many times, and trained more than 65.438 million mounting technicians through on-site training and workshops with apprentices. They also taught their skills to many people with their apprentices, so that the manual mounting method, which has been passed down for more than 600 years, has been well protected, passed down and developed.
