Guzheng finger binding method

The unbinding method is divided into the upper finger binding method and the lower finger binding method, when binding the middle finger and ring finger, put the fingertips on the palm of your hand, wrap the zither string around 3-4 times, and bind it tightly; when binding the thumb, put the zither string on the inner side of the thumb, wrap the string around along the curvature of the thumb for 3-4 times, and press it tightly with the thumb.

The guzheng finger binding method refers to playing the guzheng with the fingers bound to specific finger covers for pressing the strings and playing music. The guzheng is a traditional Chinese plucked instrument with 21 strings, each of which corresponds to a different finger casing and finger binding method. Finger covers for the guzheng are made from sheepskin and are applied to the fingers by tying them together to protect them and increase playing agility.

In the tying method, the four strings G, A, D, and E correspond to the thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers, while the other strings are played by the free finger. The purpose of guzheng finger tying is to provide the player with better control, accuracy and speed. With proper tying, the player is able to press and turn the strings more accurately in order to express the emotion and technique of the music.

At the same time, the binding also protects the player's fingers by reducing pressure and wear on the fingertips. Binding is one of the basic techniques of guzheng playing, which requires systematic training and practice by the player. With deeper practice, players can master the tying method and develop their own style and technique.

Different players may have different finger tying habits, which are related to individual finger shapes, dexterity and musical styles. Therefore, beginners should choose the appropriate binding method according to their own situation and their teacher's guidance, and continue to refine their technique through many hours of practice and playing.
