The three modes of distribution management are

(1) Direct channel: Direct channel is the main type of industrial product distribution. For example, large-scale equipment, special tools and products that need to provide professional services are all direct distribution, and some consumer goods also adopt direct distribution types, such as fresh goods.

(2) Indirect distribution channels: With the opening of the market and invigorating the circulation field, the proportion of goods indirectly distributed in China has increased. There are many ways for enterprises to sell through middlemen in the market, such as factory-store linkage, special distribution, retailers or wholesalers directly buying goods from factories, and middlemen holding various trade fairs for factories.

(3) Long channel and short channel: The length of distribution channel is generally divided according to the number of circulation links, including the following four layers: zero-level channel, first-level channel, second-level channel and third-level channel.

(4) Wide channel and narrow channel: the width of the channel depends on the number of the same type of middlemen used in each link of the channel. There are many similar middlemen used by enterprises, and their products are widely distributed in the market, which is called wide channels.

(5) Single channel and multi-channel: When all the products of an enterprise are sold by the retail department directly established by itself, or all of them are handed over to wholesalers for distribution, it is called single channel. Multi-channel can use direct channels locally and indirect channels in other places.
