The 26th day of the 6th month is the Christmas day of the Land God, which is known as the "Land Master's Birth" in the Chaoshan folklore. Judging from the festival's object of worship and the way of worship, it should be a variation of the ancient social day in the Chaoshan area.

Nowadays, the form of worshipping the land in Chaoshan has been very simple, and the land god can be prayed for by inserting joss sticks and candles casually in the fields. In every house, there is a "landlord god", every first and fifteenth day (there are also the second and sixteenth day), all with rice or fruits to worship, the form is simple but diligent and persistent.

The land temple building are relatively simple and small, small cottage only, and "Guan Gong Gong" (Guan Gong Temple), "Mazu Temple", "San Shan King Temple" and other temples. The temples are very far from each other. Between the alleys, there are only two or three feet square small land temple.
