What is a new media platform?
New media platforms include, but are not limited to, digital newspapers, digital broadcasting, mobile phone short messages, mobile TV, internet, desktop windows, digital TV, digital movies and touch media.
Traditional media platforms include television, radio, newspapers and weekly magazines.
The word "media" comes from the Latin word "Medius", which is transliterated as media and means something in between. Media refers to the media that spreads information. It means that people use tools, channels, carriers, intermediaries or technical means to transmit and obtain information. Media can also be regarded as all technical means to realize the transmission of information from information sources to recipients.
Media has two meanings, one is the object that carries information, and the other is the entity that stores, presents, processes and transmits information.
