Manufacturing process of wooden gyro

The manufacturing process of the wooden gyro is as follows:

1. Select a suitable chuck claw, reliably clamp the rough wood blank at the spindle end of the lathe, and adjust the tool rest to 2 ~ 3cm away from the wood.

2. Holding a pencil in one hand and rotating the spindle in the other, mark all the parts of the gyro to be rotated on the wood.

3. Select the appropriate turning tool from the woodworking turning tool, adjust the lathe speed to 1000 rpm, and start turning. Select the bevel cutter to turn the bottom of the gyroscope.

4. The bottom of the gyro has been completed.

5. Replace the round-headed knife, rotate the upper part of the gyro according to the line drawing position and start to rotate. With the passage of time, turning grooves gradually appeared, and then the lathe speed was increased to 1450 rpm to reduce the amount of wood turned each time.

6. The prototype of the wooden gyro has been completed. Continue to rotate the wood until the rotation process of the wooden gyro is completed.

7, restart the lathe, reduce the lathe speed to 600 rpm, choose the lathe rotation direction to reverse. Use 80 mesh, 180 mesh and 360 mesh emery cloths respectively, and polish them carefully until the surface of the wooden gyro is smooth.

8. Color the gyro and choose a soft-headed watercolor pen as the coloring tool.

9. The lathe is still in reverse rotation, rotating at 600 rpm. Choose a watercolor pen at random. If it turns green, start painting.

10, lemon yellow, close to fruit green and start painting.

1 1. Continue to choose other colors, orange and pure blue.

12. Finished wooden gyro.

13. Remove the unfinished gyro from the chuck, mark and draw lines, and then carefully cut it with a band saw.

14. The head of the cutting handle is flat and big, and the head is polished into a circle with a belt sander.

15, the wooden gyro is finished.
