Introduction of leaky window
Leakage window, commonly known as flower wall head, flower wall hole, leakage window and flower window, is a kind of full-lattice decorative transparent window in traditional garden buildings of Han nationality. Its appearance is not closed, and the window hole is decorated with all kinds of leakage patterns, through which you can vaguely see the scenery outside the window. In order to watch the scenery outside the window conveniently, the height of the leaky window is generally equal to the human eye's line of sight, and the lower frame is generally about 1.3 meters from the ground. There are also leaky windows specially designed for lighting, ventilation and decoration, which are higher from the ground. Leaking window is a unique architectural form in Han gardens, and it is also an architectural art treatment process that constitutes the landscape. Usually, as decorative sketches on garden walls, they appear in rows in corridors and are widely used in home gardens in the south of the Yangtze River, such as leaky windows on Suzhou garden walls, which have a very strong cultural color.
