What is physical evidence

Physical evidence refers to all traces of objects that can prove the real situation of the case. It is characterized by the external characteristics of the object, the material properties and the location of it, to reflect certain facts of the case. Physical evidence includes the following eight categories:

1. That is, with words, symbols, patterns and other recorded content expressed with the facts of the case related to human thinking or behavior of written materials.

2. Physical evidence. That is, with objects, traces of objective material entities such as appearance, traits, texture, specifications and other evidence to prove the facts of the case.

3. Audio-visual materials. That is, with audio, video, scanning and other technical means, the sound, image and data into a variety of physical signals on the recording carrier, evidence of the facts of the case.

4. Witness testimony. That is, directly or indirectly understand the case of witnesses to the people's court to prove the facts of the case.

5. Party statements. That is, the parties to the case in the litigation on the facts of the case to the people's court statements and admissions.

6. Appraisal conclusions. That is, with professional and technical expertise in the use of specialized instruments, equipment, and the case of specialized issues related to the technical conclusions.

7. Investigation transcripts, field notes. Refers to the administrative organs or the people's court judges on the administrative case related to the scene or objects for investigation, inspection, measurement, drawing, photography and other records.

8. Audio-visual materials, electronic data. Refers to audio tapes, video tapes, movie film or electronic computer-related equipment stored as proof of the facts of the case audio, moving images and graphics.
