What are the harvesting tools?
1) Sickle is made of bronze, stone and pottery. Five bronze sickles, unearthed in Xingan Oceania, specimen No.371,are thin and flat, with downward hooks at the front, round holes near the inner end, ridges at the front and near the back, no lines on the back, and obvious use marks on the blade. ? Stone sickles unearthed from various sites can be roughly divided into two types: long strips and crescent shapes, with double-sided blades and single-sided blades. Most of them are bluestone, polished smoothly, slightly curved and ribbed in the middle. ?
The sixth excavation unearthed two ceramic sickles and Wucheng site, which are similar in shape to stone sickles. The appearance of molded pottery sickle is noteworthy, because the purpose of molding is mass production. Although only two were found, it is certain that it must have been popular at that time and was a widely used harvesting tool in the local area. ?
2) 1 bronze pheasant, unearthed in Xingan Oceania, cuboid, plain, extremely thin, straight on both sides, slightly curved blade, three parallel strips near the spine, and obvious grip marks on the spine. It is harvesting farm tools, and "Jin Wen Bu" says: "When harvesting rice, you get short iron"; "Interpretation of Names and Texts" says: "You can get five grains of iron." Mr. Chen believes that the use of pheasant is similar to the existing claw sickle, that is, several layers of textiles are laid on the pheasant body, and then a cloth or leather collar is put on the double holes. When in use, the thumb of the right hand is put into the collar, the ear of grain is held by the left hand, and then it is cut with the blade of the pheasant by the right hand. 3) Wucheng culture has armor-piercing knives made of bronze and stone. The long bronze knife with handle is a hand tool or weapon, which is not suitable for agricultural tools and can be excluded.
