Deyuelou
Deyue Building was built in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. It can be described as the oldest "longevity star" among Suzhou time-honored brands. When Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River, he once dined in Deyuelou. Because of its delicious food, he was known as "the first restaurant in the world". The famous dishes in the store are: Sweet and Sour Mandarin Fish, Deyue Copper Chicken, Wan Yue, honey-baked recipe, rich duck with cordyceps sinensis, shrimps, jujube paste cakes and Soviet-style boat dishes.
Lu manuscript recommendation
Lu Jian was founded in the second year of Kangxi (1663), with a history of more than 300 years. The most famous sauce meat, cherry red, fresh and juicy, is a seasonal delicacy that Suzhou people must eat in spring. When it goes public in March every year, the queue can stand for miles.
