What are the six major dances?
Six dance music is a very common dance type, including many parts. The six major dances are mainly Yunmen, Dayan, Dashao, Daxia, Dayun and Dawu. The specific function is that the whole performance occasion is grand and has a large number of people, among which the emperor performed with the standard of 64-person dance. Because most of these dances came from the representative dances before the Zhou Dynasty, they were sorted out, added and deleted, so they were also called the dances of the Six Dynasties. In later generations, these six kinds of dances were also called the music of the former emperors and became a sacred and elegant music.
