When is the Lunar Cold Food Festival?

The Cold Food Festival is held on the day before Tomb-Sweeping Day every year. Tomb-Sweeping Day in 2022 is on April 4, 2022 (the fourth day of the third lunar month). Smoking is not allowed on this day, only cold food is eaten, and there are customs such as sacrifice and outing. It is said that this festival originated from the story between Zhong Er, the son of Jin State, and Jiezitui, a minister in the Spring and Autumn Period.
