The general order is year, month and day. If it is an official document, the date should be written in Chinese characters, such as 2006 1 1 2. The date should be written on one line, and the signature should be written on the next line, with the date above and the month below (or the day on the left and the month on the right), such as 8/9, that is, September 8.

For documents using traditional Chinese characters, the date can be written in Chinese format. The method is to click Insert/Date and Time in Word and select the Chinese date format, such as February 6th, 2007.
