Where is Harbin?
Harbin is located in the northeast of China and the south of Heilongjiang Province, with the east longitude of125 42 ′-13010 ′. Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Province and the largest city in Northeast China, with a total area of 56,579 square kilometers and a population of 4,557,900, of which the urban population is 2,477,200. It now governs 7 districts and 12 counties and cities.
Harbin, Shuangcheng and Hulan County are flat and low-lying, and the eastern 10 county (city) is mountainous and hilly. The rivers in China belong to Songhua River system and Mudanjiang River system. Songhua River originated in Tianchi, Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province, and its main stream runs through central Harbin from west to east. It is the largest irrigation river in the city, and it is also the mother river for Harbin people to survive.
