Phenology of the Twenty-four Solar Terms: Three Phenomena of Mang Species and Their Legends

Yuan Zhen, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote: "When the awn seeds look at the present, the sting insects will be a festival. Clouds rise and fall, birds come and go. Lotus is in full bloom in the swamp, and it is windy and rainy in summer. I met silkworms and wheat, but I was lucky to be called human. " Draw a picture of the countryside in the awning season. The ancients in China divided the fifteen days before and after awning into three periods. Today, the Old Yellow Calendar will sort out the explanations of three periods of mango seeds and related legends and stories for everyone.

The three stages of the awning refer to dividing the fifteen days before and after the awning into three equal parts. Wait every five days: "Wait for the mantis to be born; Second, wait for Peng to start singing; Three waiting for silence. " It means that in this solar term, the eggs laid by mantis broke their shells last autumn and gave birth to nymphs, and then Shrike began to sing in the branches, but the mockingbird (it is said that this bird can imitate other birds) stopped singing.

When mango grows up, mantis will be born.

The life span of mantis is generally one generation per year, and the life span of a mantis is about six to eight months. Waiting for the growth of awn, that is to say, from June 6th to June 10 every year, the egg laid by mantis in late autumn last year broke out and became a little mantis, because it felt the birth of Yin Qi. Of course, the hatching of mantis eggs will be slightly different according to the climate and environment.

When the awn is planted, it will begin to sing.

The second season of awn seed usually lasts from June 1 1 to June 15 every year. Shrike is a small carnivorous bird, also known as "White Bird" and "Shrike Head". It is an important insect-eating bird with fierce nature. Their main feature is that their mouths are large and powerful, with hooks and notches at the top, which is a bit like the mouth of an eagle. Shrike used to call it "anchovies". The shrike, an ancient bird, has a long history among the ancient people. The allusions of the idioms "Old Swallow flies apart" and "Qi Bo Tiger" all come from the shrike.

Legend has it that in Zhou Xuanwang, a clever minister, Yin Jifu, listened to his second wife's greedy words and killed his beloved son, Birch, by mistake. Bofeng, Birch's younger brother, was sad for his younger brother's misfortune and wrote a sad poem. Yin Jifu regretted it after hearing this.

One day, in the suburbs, Yin Jifu saw a bird he had never seen before and stopped at a mulberry tree to chirp at him. That voice is very sad. Yin Jifu suddenly thought that the bird was the incarnation of his son, Birch, so he said, "Birch, if you were my son, Birch would fly and stop in my carriage." As soon as the words were finished, the bird really flew over and stopped in the carriage, so Yin Jifu took the bird home.

When he came home, the bird stopped at the well and whined at the house. Yin Jifu pretended to shoot birds, picked up a bow and arrow and shot into the second room to comfort Birch. Although this story is close to myth, Shrike's name comes from the word "Burch's works". It can be seen that the well-known shrike is the characteristic of recording solar terms.

Third, third, silent tongue.

There are three seasons, usually from June 6 to June 20 every year. At this time, the Dragon Boat Festival, which has the strongest yang in a year, has passed, and the yin is slightly healthy. Ears are silent when they wait for three days. It is said that during this period, mockingbirds, who can learn from all kinds of birds, began to stop singing, which indicated that villains appeared. Mockingbirds are slightly larger and have sweet songs, but they are not as sweet as European subspecies, and their warning beeps are similar, and they emit dzeeb sounds when flying.

Another view is that the mockingbird is a blackbird. The blackbird is a common resident bird in southern China, although its feathers are simple and its appearance is not surprising. But it is indeed a skilled ventriloquist among birds. The blackbird sings loudly and loudly, and its voice is like "Ji Ji", so it is also called blackbird.

During the breeding season in spring, the songs of blackbirds are melodious and changeable, and they are especially good at imitating the songs of other birds, such as thrushes, orioles, leaf warblers and even chicks. They are all lifelike, and their songs are constant, like the sound of the tongue. The ancients thought that blackbirds could "repeat the sound of birds" and called them Kuzu or mocking bird.

Wen Tong, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once praised him in a poem: "Birds kiss in the throat in spring, and the forest is full of sunshine. One hundred languages are the most meaningless, and you can learn all the songs of birds. " In the Tang Dynasty, Liu Yuxi also praised it as: "There are many sounds in spring, and the orioles are speechless."

In the "Medical Taste Tonggua Yan", there is also a "midsummer moon, the tongue is silent; There is a saying that the tongue is sounding and people are on the side. People think that the voice of blackbirds can prove people's loyalty and betrayal. Therefore, Du Fu has a poem saying, "A hundred families cannot argue? Only spring is reported. A confidant speaks many languages, and there are many bodies in the whole process. It is difficult to see flowers in dense storage, and the branches are tall and new, and they are out of date, and there are people on your side. "Of course, these last two sentences have no scientific basis.
