Memorabilia of China Mazu Cultural Exchange Association

Mazu culture has a history of 1000 years. In the long process of inheritance and deduction, Mazu culture gradually spread to the coastal areas of China, Taiwan Province, Hongkong and Macau, and gradually spread to more than 20 countries on five continents with the footprints of overseas Chinese. At present, there are more than 5,000 Mazu cultural institutions worldwide, with nearly 200 million followers.

● On June 365438+ 10, 2004, the Chinese Mazu Cultural Exchange Association was grandly established in Putian. Zhang Dang was elected as the president, Lin,, Lin Jinbang, Zheng Mingkun, Cai Yongchang and Cai Changkui as the vice presidents, and,,, and were hired as honorary presidents. Congratulatory letters were sent by The Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) of the Communist Party of China, Jia Qinglin, Chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference in China, and Chen Zhili, State Councilor.

● From April 19 to April 20, 2005, more than 300 believers from Jinmen flew directly from Jinmen to Meizhou Island to pay homage to Mazu on the "Oriental Star". Mazu Tempel of Meizhou presented a giant statue of Mazu to the Golden Gate Tianhou Palace.

● On February 26th, 2006, the Association organized delegations from Mazu Tempel in Meizhou, Putian, Tianhou Palace in Xianliang Port and Tianhou Palace in Wenfeng to participate in Taiwan Province Dajia Mazu International Tourism and Culture Festival.

● On May 25th, 2006, the Association held the second "Meizhou Mazu Strait Forum" with the theme of "Mazu cultural exchange and direct cross-strait flights".

● On May 25th, 2006, CCTV Heart-to-Heart Art Troupe entered Meizhou Island in Putian for the first time with the theme of "Cross-Strait Love", and Mazu culture became a highlight of the performance.

● In June 2006, Mazu Tempel in Meizhou was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, and Mazu Festival in Meizhou was announced by the State Council as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage masterpieces.

On September 5th, 2006, Lin Jinbang, vice-president and secretary-general of the Association, led a cultural exchange delegation from Meizhou Mazu to Singapore, Malaysia and other places to carry out friendship activities with 14 Mazu Temple.

On September 6th, 2006, the final of the first China Mazu Cultural Knowledge Competition was held in Tianjin. Eight teams from Fujian, Tianjin, Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu, Taiwan Province, New Zealand and Meizhou Mazu Tempel participated in the competition.

From September 25th to 28th, 2006, more than 7000 people from more than 50 Mazu Tempel believers and Chinese mainland compatriots in Taiwan Province Province went to Meizhou to worship their ancestors, which is the largest cross-strait Mazu cultural exchange activity so far.

From June 30th, 2006 to October 30th, 2006 10, the Association and Fujian Yanhuang Culture Research Association jointly hosted the third Fujian-Taiwan Cultural Seminar, and "Fujian-Taiwan Culture and Mazu Belief" became an important research topic.

The letter of intent was signed by China Cross-Strait Tourism Association, Putian Tourism Association and other six major tourism associations in Taiwan Province Province.

● On May 5th, 2007, 65438, more than 500 followers of Mazu Island sailed directly to Meizhou Island on the passenger ship "Matai". This is the first time in more than 50 years that Mazu believers organized a direct flight to Meizhou to worship their ancestors, which opened up a new channel for Mazu to make a pilgrimage to Meizhou.

● On May 27th to 3rd, 2007, the Association and the Mazu Friendship Association of Taiwan Province Province jointly hosted the first "Mazu Cultural Activity Week in Putai", which included folk literature and art marching on the street, 100 teams' "Ten Sounds and Eight Music" concerts and 100 puppet shows.

● From April 3rd to June 3rd, 2008, Lin Guoliang, executive vice president of the Association, led a 100-member delegation of Mazu culture, and was invited to Taiwan to observe Mazu activities in Dajia, visit Mazu Tempel, and organize Meizhou Mazu Tempel to participate in the "Mazu Light" large-scale literary evening held in Taichung and Tainan.

● From April 4th to 5th, 2008, the Association organized Mazu Tempel in Meizhou to visit the island for the first time, and jointly held the "Taiwan Province Mazu Culture Forum" with Langong in Dajia Town, Taiwan Province Province.

● On April 28th, 2008, Mazu Pavilion, a new landscape handed down from ancient times in Haixi organized by the Association, was opened. The total cost of the exhibition hall is 35 million yuan, and people from all walks of life donate 29.55 million yuan.

● In May 2008, the Association mobilized its member units and Mazu believers to donate more than 25 million yuan to the Wenchuan earthquake-stricken area. Subsequently, Taiwan Province Mazu Friendship Association donated a Mazu kindergarten to Mengyang Town in the disaster area.

● On September 8, 2008, China Mazu Cultural Research Institute was completed in Putian. Zhang, president of the Association, cut the ribbon for the completion of China Mazu Culture Research Association and presented medals.

● From August 19 to September 18, 2008, the "Xihai Cup" Mazu Culture Publicity Month was held in Putian, including the Writers' Pen Meeting of Mazu Culture Research Association in China, the ceremony of expanding the distribution of Mazu in Taiwan Province Province in China, etc. 13 series of activities.
