Turn over the almanac or the almanac?

"Huang Li" and "Huang Li" are both almanac used in ancient China, but they are not the same thing.

This "Yellow Calendar" is the Yellow Emperor Calendar. Archaeological findings show that China began to have a calendar more than 4,000 years ago, and it has been more than 3,000 years since.

There used to be an almanac recorded by Oracle Bone Inscriptions. There are six kinds of calendars used in ancient China: the emperor's calendar, the Zhuan Xu calendar, the summer calendar, the lunar calendar, the weekly calendar and the Lv calendar, the oldest of which is the "Yellow Calendar", which is said to have been founded by Emperor Xuanyuan. As Lu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, said in the seal of Zhonghele: "Yan Tu loses treasure, Huang Li laughs." In ancient China, the "Yellow Calendar" was widely used and had far-reaching influence, so people used to call it "Yellow Calendar". However, in the process of using the "yellow calendar", the people added a lot of content to promote good luck and bad luck, so the "yellow calendar" is very superstitious.

"Imperial Calendar" belongs to the "official" almanac. The importance of almanac in social life is self-evident, and emperors of all dynasties attached great importance to the issuance of calendars. Since the Tang Dynasty, calendars have been strictly managed throughout the dynasties. In the ninth year of Daiwa in Tang Wenzong (835), the King of Tang ordered the compilation of the first block-printed almanac "Xuan Ming Calendar". The sun, moon, time and festivals are recorded in detail in Xuan Ming Calendar. At that time, in order to prevent people from printing almanac indiscriminately, Tang Wenzong ordered that almanac must be personally examined and approved by the emperor and formally printed. Since then, this kind of almanac has been called "imperial almanac".

Regarding the origin of the word "Imperial Calendar", some people say that it has something to do with Song Taizong. Said that whenever the end of the year, Song Taizong will send an almanac to civil and military officials and members of the royal family. This calendar is engraved with the dates and festivals of the lunar calendar, as well as general knowledge of agriculture and planting. Because the almanac was given by the emperor, it was called the "imperial almanac". It is certainly a great honor to get the almanac presented by the emperor, which many people expect. Influenced by it, the people gradually called the almanac "the imperial calendar".

The calendar recorded in the Imperial Calendar is generally limited to one year, and it changes in the second year. If we use last year's "imperial calendar" to look at this year's calendar, it will be wrong. Therefore, people often use the "old imperial calendar" to describe those conservative and outdated ideologies.

"Yellow Calendar" and "Yellow Calendar" are both old calendars with the same pronunciation, so people often confuse them when referring to them. We'd better distinguish them.
