Why is He Shen's son called Fengshen Yingde?

Princess Feng?enyende and Xiao He

(2005-08-0 1)

The most direct way to gain the trust of the emperor and have a direct relationship with the emperor is to marry the royal family. Little Shenyang knows this well and uses it freely. Gan Long had ten daughters in his life, and five of them died young, not to mention married. The youngest daughter, Gulen and the little princess, is the favorite. She is lively and smart. She looks like. Besides, being an old woman is naturally more loving. In the draft of Qing history? It is recorded in the princess's table: "My Lord, the girl of Emperor Gaozong, has always loved her and never married, and gave her a golden sedan chair." Therefore, Princess Xiao He was canonized as Princess Gulen when she was 13 years old, which fully showed that Qianlong loved her, because according to the legal system of the Qing Dynasty, only the daughter born to the queen could be canonized as "Princess Gulen", and the grade was equivalent to that of a prince, while the daughters born to princesses, concubines or other royal families adopted by the queen could only be canonized as "Princess Heshuo". And Gulen and Princess Xiao were born by a concubine. Because Emperor Qianlong loved her, he made an exception and named her Princess Gulen. The other four daughters of Emperor Qianlong were: the third daughter, Princess Jinggulun, who was born in Empress Xiaoxianchun. In March of the 12th year of Qianlong, she married Sebuteng Balzhuer; The fourth daughter, Princess Jia Heshuo, was born to Chunhui Guifei Su and married Fu Hengzi Fu Longan in the first month of October. The seventh daughter was born to Princess Jinggulun and Empress Xiaoyi Chun. In the thirty-fifth year of Qianlong, she married Lavando Gifford, and her ninth daughter, Princess Heshuo, was also born to Empress Xiaoyi Chun. In the thirty-seventh year of Qianlong, she married Zhalantaijifu.

Among the five surviving princesses, Princess Gulen and Princess Xiao are the most spoiled, while Princess Gulen and Princess Xiao are "resolute in nature, able to bend a knife and bow, rarely taste men's clothes, shoot deer and shoot deer, and are overjoyed and richly rewarded." The princess was full of heroism, which was more fully manifested in her later life. Even after she married into the government, the princess still doesn't like red clothes and likes the armed forces. She often goes hunting with her husband Feng?enyende, and her attendants are all dressed up.

Born in the same year as the princess, she was born on the 19th day of the first month of the 40th year of Qianlong (1775), half a year younger than Gulen and Princess Xiao. Feng?enyende is as handsome and beautiful as his father, and Qianlong loves Feng?enyende very much. In addition, Feng?enyende was named after Emperor Qianlong. Fengshen means "Fuyu" in Manchu, and Qianlong hopes that Feng?enyende can stay in Fuyu for a long time and bring good luck to his beloved little daughter.

When Princess Xiao 16 years old, Qianlong betrothed her to his wife. Since then, it has been closely linked with the fate of Gulen and Princess Xiao.

Their marriage is undoubtedly a political marriage. In ancient China, many political marriages ended in failure because there was no love between them. On the other hand, political marriage is the most practical and stable form of marriage combination, because political marriage first emphasizes the right family, and both husband and wife must belong to the same or similar class. Inferred from this, their aspirations and hobbies are mostly the same, so that husband and wife will have the same topic and pursuit when they live together. Therefore, compared with other child brides in feudal society, political marriage is still desirable, although it is full of power and money transactions.

Feng?enyende, Gulen and Princess Xiao are undoubtedly a lucky couple. Yes, it is a political transaction between them, especially in He Shen's view. He Shen doesn't care if there is any affection between them. He only relied on the princess's relationship to consolidate the love of Emperor Qianlong. However, the two are extremely well matched. The man is handsome and the woman is beautiful and generous. In the next few decades, the two people have been caring for each other and supporting each other, and * * * has passed through one difficulty after another.

Little Shenyang also tried to please Gulen and Princess Xiao. He not only told Feng?enyende to spend more time with the princess every day, but also attached great importance to the princess herself, because his years of getting along with Gan Long taught him that to please a person, we should start with the person we like best. Gulun and Xiao Fei are Qianlong's favorites. They said, "You are a prince, and I will protect you." Therefore, when Gulen and Princess Xiao were young, they tried their best to please them. The princess also trusts Xiao Shenyang very much. According to Yao's Miscellaneous Notes on Bamboo Leaf Pavilion in Qing Dynasty, when the princess was young, she often called her husband. One day (Emperor Qianlong) took her master (Princess) to visit the commercial street in the same paradise (in Yuanmingyuan, it was modeled on a commercial street set up by the people from the beginning of the Spring Festival to the tobacco and alcohol festival every year) and earned a lot of money. Emperor Gaozong was very happy when he saw that those who believed in him had a bright red shirt and a collar. The Lord said, "I want it from your husband, and I want it for twenty-eight gold." I want to be a husband, but I don't know why. When the Lord was young, he was well dressed and big. Or because of the play. "It is said that once the princess saw the clothes she liked, Qianlong asked the princess to let Xiao Shenyang buy them for her. At this time, Qianlong must have been married, so the princess called Xiao Shenyang her father-in-law.

In the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong (A.D. 1789), Princess Xiao He and Feng?enyende were going to have a wedding. Qianlong gave the princess countless treasures. At the same time, he ordered: "Anyone who marries a foreign princess to live in Lun will receive a salary of 1,200 yuan. If they live in Beijing, they will be taken as an example of marrying the Eight Banners. In the past, Princess Jinggulun was a princess in Beijing, but her salary, silver and satin horses were still supported by the example of foreign vassals, and her age was getting less and less, and she was still sealed by decree. " Now, Princess Gulen is my little daughter. She should be kind and nurturing before me. Her filial piety will increase. In the future, if she falls down, all her salary will be given to 1200 as a reward. Explain the preference for Gulun and Princess Xiao when Qianlong was in power. At the same time, Gan Long loves my family and my dog, and he also loves Feng?enyende. He ordered: "Order Gu Lun to accompany Feng?enyende in front of the court." Later, he was appointed minister of teaching. On the 27th of that year 1 1 month, Princess Gulun and Princess Xiao, who just turned 15 years old, got married on this auspicious day, and Qianlong gave many rewards and dowries.

The good education of the royal family made Gulun and Princess Xiao very capable and knowledgeable, so their doting did not make the princess develop arrogance, but became more and more talented.

After marriage, she is also very concerned about the future of her husband Feng?enyende. Because she knows that a man must have a career to rely on, and she doesn't want her husband to do nothing all day in the shadow of the emperor and Shenyang. I hope my husband depends on his own ability, not on his father.

After the marriage, she found that Xiao Shenyang accepted bribes and perverted the law. She had a premonition that the greedy good goods in Shenyang would not come to a good end. Zhaolian's "Continued Whistling Pavilion" records: "The princess said to Feng?enyende,' You Weng loves the emperor's kindness and has no reward. Only when I see it will I worry about you. I am afraid that one day I will lose my wealth and I will be tired of you. "Gu Lun and princess xiao proved to be far-sighted. A few years later, Xiao Shenyang was defeated, and Princess Gu Lun repeatedly begged Jiaqing to get a whole body for Xiao Shenyang. Alas, it is not as clever as Princess Xiao!

Princess Gulen and Princess Xiao are very close to each other in their married life. Moreover, because the princess was loved by Qianlong for more than half a month, Gu Lun and Princess Xiao occupied a de facto active position in China. According to Zhao Lian's "Continued Whistling Pavilion Record", "One winter morning, there was goose feather and heavy snow in the sky, and Feng?enyende, who was still childlike, couldn't help but be childlike. He remembered playing with snow with his partner and cousin Feng Shen when he was a child, and he couldn't help it. " Princess Xiao He was very angry when she saw it. She immediately scolded him and said, "You have crossed the crown and are still playing childish games?" It can be seen that the princess is very strict with Feng?enyende. When Feng?enyende saw that the princess was angry, she hurriedly knelt down for mercy and asked the princess to calm down. The princess helped Feng?enyende up with a smile and wiped the sweat for him, saying, don't play for the children, and read poems with me!

The filial piety princess asked her husband Feng?enyende and Feng?enyende for Confucian etiquette, and they did not live up to the expectations of the princess, and they worked hard to cultivate the Four Books and Five Classics, which was highly valued by the emperor.

Gulen and Princess Xiao still ride and shoot, wear men's clothes and often go out hunting with them. At first, Xiao Shenyang often went out hunting with these two men to please the princess. Later, he saw that the young couple had deep feelings and thought that they didn't have to go out in person. He is already a very important person, and now he wants to train his eldest son, Feng?enyende. If he has strong feelings for Princess Xiao, he will definitely be more spoiled. At that time, his father and son would be spoiled by the princess, so Xiao Shenyang often taught Feng?enyende a lesson.

However, there are also times of disharmony. Feng?enyende is "self-conscious and unsmiling", while the princess is extroverted and capable. When two people get along, there are often scenes where the princess is alone and Yin De is silent.

After marriage, they had a son, and the princess devoted herself to her youngest son, while Feng?enyende often went to other places to inspect the military situation of the Miao uprising. So there was a rift between them. Fortunately, Feng?enyende also likes his youngest son, and the three of them are happy. Unfortunately, the good times did not last long. For some reason, their youngest son died young, and little Shenyang was heartbroken when he heard the news. Princess Xiao He and Feng?enyende were even sadder. Since then, the princess has never given birth to a child. In order to reconcile with her family, the princess repeatedly persuaded Feng?enyende to have several concubines. At first, Feng?enyende thought the princess was a temptation. Later, the princess begged many times before she knew that the princess was affectionate. Although he didn't want to hurt the princess's feelings, he had to invite several concubines in order to continue the incense. As for Feng?enyende after the fall of Shenyang, it is another matter.

Little Shenyang fell, but he still has descendants. According to the custom of feudal society, as long as there are descendants, then this person is still filial. If he has no children, no matter how filial he is to his parents, he will also be charged with unfilial. Therefore, there is a saying that "there are three unfilial, and there is no big after". Future generations involve a series of problems. Some people only count their immediate family members as descendants, including only sons and daughters. Some people think that all descendants should be counted. We agree with the latter view. We believe that if only immediate family members are counted, there will be too few descendants of Little Shenyang. Therefore, we regard our family members such as Gulen and Princess Xiao as descendants.

Feng?enyende, the eldest son of Xiao Shenyang, was born in Qianlong for forty years (A.D. 1775). In April of the 45th year of Qianlong (A.D. 1780), Emperor Qianlong named him Feng?enyende, which meant that he was the forehead of the 10th Princess (that is, Princess Gulun and Princess Filial Piety), and he was dazzled. In the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong (AD 1789), Feng?enyende married Princess Xiao He. After the death of Xiao Shenyang, Jiaqing allowed her husband Feng?enyende to "go out of the city for the time being to take care of the funeral" under the repeated entreaties of the princess. Cousin Shen Feng Yimian was also temporarily relieved of his post.

After the fall of Shenyang, Feng?enyende was deprived of the titles of First Duke and Earl of Baylor. Fortunately, in the seventh year of Jiaqing (A.D. 1802), Jiaqing succeeded in pacifying the White Lotus Sect. He was very happy and rewarded the world and Feng?enyende. He ordered: "Gulen and Princess Xiao married Gulen, and the official rank was equal to Beizi. The heirs of the ancient meaning were severely condemned, so they were dismissed together, and I was specially added as a lesson.

Experienced from wealth to nothing, Feng?enyende also deeply understood that life is like a dream, and wealth is just passing by. Just like Cao Xueqin, the author of A Dream of Red Mansions, he sees through the world and thinks that "everything is learned when things are clear, and articles are written when people are clear". It's a pity that Feng?enyende didn't have Cao Xueqin's talent and efforts, leaving only some third-rate poems, which were later compiled into a book by his cousin Feng Shenyimin and spread to later generations. Therefore, Feng?enyende indulged in debauchery all day. He hopes that this inaction can escape the official frame-up.

However, in the eighth year of Jiaqing (A.D. 1803), Gulun and Shi Kuifu, the owner of Princess Xiao's mansion, accused him of "practicing martial arts, plotting evil deeds, trying to harm the princess, taking my concubine to the grave and giving birth to a daughter in the national service." Jiaqing's discovery was a false accusation in the first trial, but it did happen in Feng?enyende, and Feng?enyende also confessed. Therefore, Emperor Jiaqing said: "... because Kuifu was dismissed by the long river of history, he was resentful and falsely accused. Now he loves books, and Feng?enyende has done nothing wrong. " The charge is that after serving in the countryside for one year, he took his concubine to the grave and gave birth to a daughter. It's really shameful to let her think behind closed doors. It is a blessing to punish her like this, and everything else is a misdemeanor. "

According to the laws of the Qing dynasty, during the emperor's funeral, the guards were not allowed to hang house numbers, hang lanterns, get married, have children in the same room, etc. Feng?enyende, as a forehead, should of course keep the funeral taboo in Qianlong period. From then on, the last straw in Feng?enyende's life was gone, and the usual behavior of "drinking close to women" became an extravagant hope, and life was deprived of freedom. Feng?enyende sighed:

Full of disappointment and helplessness, he finally understood Jia Baoyu's situation and mood in A Dream of Red Mansions. When he used to watch it with his father, he never understood it. After all the ups and downs, he finally knew the cruelty of human feelings.

In the 11th year of Jiaqing (AD 1806), Jiaqing named him "the first-class bodyguard, deputy commander and count". Soon, Jiaqing sent him to work in Tai Su, Uriah, and Feng?enyende "prospered in the vast sea, dying, and enforced the law impartially". Working in the frontier is not so much Jiaqing's promotion as exile. Jiaqing hated everything related, except his sister Gulen and Princess Xiao, so he was out of sight, out of mind, and let him be an official in the frontier for a long time. At this time, due to excessive indulgence and self-abandonment, Feng?enyende's body was already ill. In this wild land, it is tantamount to chronic suicide, and he doesn't care much about his early death and late death. The princess couldn't watch her husband go to the grave, so she begged her brother many times to let him come back for illness. In February of the 15th year of Jiaqing (A.D. 18 10), at the request of the princess, Jiaqing allowed Feng?enyende to return to Beijing to heal and sent someone to visit him. A few months later, Feng?enyende died in May of that year, at the age of 36. Jiaqing "remembered his careful service on weekdays and rewarded him with the title of Duke" and "sent Britain and Dai". His cousin Shen Feng Yimian was very sad when he heard the news.

Later, Fengshen escorted his coffin with the graves of Liu Cun and Shi Xin, and reunited with Hefeng's family. Feng?enyende had a son who died young, so there were only two women left. At the time of death, the eldest daughter was 1 1 years old and the youngest daughter was 5 years old. "One is still hanging, and the other is still playing." Later, Gulen and Princess Xiao adopted a son named Xiao Lu and inherited a captain who knows his way around. Jiaqing took good care of Feng?enyende's descendants.

Gulen and Princess Xiao were born in a famous family, born in the same year, and died on September 10th in the third year of Daoguang (AD 1823), at the age of 49. Although He Shen fell, she was loved by three emperors (Qianlong, Jiaqing and Daoguang).
