How to do a good job of preparation before seed storage?

The seed warehouse shall do the following work for the seed warehouse and the stored seeds:

(1) seed cleaning and drying. Seeds must be cleaned before storage, and impurities such as silt, stones, weed seeds, broken leaves, etc. mixed into the seeds must be removed, and the seeds must be dried by appropriate methods. Incomplete drying will worsen the storage environment, cause seed mildew and lose seed viability.

(2) Cleaning and disinfection of the warehouse. Thoroughly inspect and maintain the warehouse where seeds are stored, remove impurities and rubbish, such as different kinds of seeds, and repair the walls and roofs. The warehouse should also be disinfected before the seeds are put into storage. After disinfection and pesticide application, the warehouse should be sealed for about 72 hours, and then ventilated for 24 hours before the seeds can be put into storage.

(3) Check the quality of stored seeds. Seed storage must be inspected. Seed moisture, purity, germination rate and purity must meet the quality standards of GB 4404.1~ 2-1996, GB 4407.1~ 2-1996.

(4) precooling the seeds. After the sun-dried seeds are naturally cooled, they can not be put into storage until the seed temperature drops to normal temperature.

(5) Do a good job in pest control before the seeds are put into storage, and live pests are not allowed when the seeds are put into storage.
