Brief introduction of Jingshan Mountain in Jiangyan, Guiyang

The full name of "Tzu Chi Monument" is "Rebuilding the Preface Monument of Fan Jingjinding Tzu Chi", which was erected by the Wanli Emperor of the Ming Dynasty. Located in the lower part of Laojinding, Fan Jing, it is 2.9 meters high, 1.85 meters high and 1.5 1 meter wide, with "Ci-Ci" carved vertically. The inscription is in regular script, 1349, including 838 words in preface and 5 16 words in annex. Its beautiful inscription is Fan Jingshan's eternal swan song. Written by Li Zhiyan, a doctor from the Ministry of Housing, he recorded the geographical location, mountains and landforms, places of interest, historical legends, the rise and fall of Buddhism, etc. According to the inscription, Fan Jingshan is an "ancient Buddhist Dojo", "famous for its Yuejiao in the world" and a "paradise of bliss". It is famous for shaking Nanjing and Beijing, attracting princes and ministers of Guizhou and people to worship.

Annotation and translation of inscriptions

(1) "Fuyi", interjection; "Four Seas" and "Kyushu" generally refer to China; "Giant Town", a huge main mountain shape won; "Ten faces", the name of Buddha, is a plane with eight faces and two lower faces. "Pure land", a Buddhist term, refers to a clean world or a paradise without five independences (robbing independence, seeing independence, worrying about independence, living beings independence and life independence). "Futian", a place of happiness. Ah, the famous mountains all over the country, the unique pure land in the world, are places where everyone can be happy. Put pen to paper, momentum.

(2) "Beichang", the long mountain of Beiyue is Hengshan. Mount Taishan in Dongyue, Mount Hengshan in Xiyue and Mount Changshan in Beiyue are places where emperors worship Zen.

(3) "Xuansi, Lu Jian, Qingyan and Baima" all refer to Brahma. Among them, the "Xuansi" is Xuanzhong Temple, a suburb of Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, where a monk and a good guide once spread the Pure Land Sect in the Tang Dynasty. Located in the eastern suburb of Luoyang, Henan Province, Baima Temple is one of the earliest temples in China. The stone carving of Maitreya Buddha in the temple has been stolen to America. In Buddhist language, "abstinence from sound" means that the Buddha guides people who believe in Buddhism to the west. "Guan Wu Tian Shou Jing" attracts all beings with this precious hand. Xuansi, Hulu, Qingyuan and Baima are all places where the Buddha extradited all beings.

(4) "Caoxi" is Caoxi, now Shaozhou, Guangdong. In the Tang Dynasty, the monk Liu Houhui Neng (AD 638-7 13) once expressed his understanding of the Buddha with the words "Bodhi has no trees, the mirror is not harmonious, and there is nothing, so where does it cause dust?" He won the appreciation of the five ancestors, so he passed on his Zen method and gave him a mantle. Later, Huineng advocated the epiphany method in Baolin Temple in Caoxi, and preached that seeing nature becomes Buddha. He has been teaching here for more than 30 years, which has a great influence and has become the southern Sect of Zen. "Smell the fragrance on the water" means epiphany, and it is also related to the nirvana of the sixth ancestor. On the third day of August in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (AD 7 13), Huineng was nirvana in Guoen Temple in NSW. At that time, Shaozhou and Xinzhou each built a stupa, and believers fought for its burial. The hometown and the Ministry of Justice are at loggerheads, and the secretaries of the two counties meet to burn incense and pray, "Where cigarettes go, that is, teachers want to return!" : "When Lv Xiang is surging, it runs straight through Cao Xi". As a result, Huineng people returned to Shaozhou Lingta, and the Sixth Ancestor Dojo was a straw mat, which was even more famous in the history of Buddhism. "Dharma realm", the place where Buddhism is taught, is the Dojo. According to legend, during the Yuanhe period of Tang Dynasty (806-820), a "tin" monk went to a hidden peak in Wutai Mountain and threw Zhang Xi away. "Lu Qian" refers to prajna temple, a Zen master who sneaked into Yuelu Mountain after six ancestors; "Flower City" is the Flower City Temple in Jiuhua Mountain. Monks from Yinfeng often fly to prajna temple, Huacheng Temple and nanzenji in Wutai Mountain. Huineng, the sixth ancestor, opened up Cao Nanzong's dharma circle because he smelled water and realized Buddha. It is still because cigarettes lead the way through Caoxi that Huineng can return to Caoxi. Because of the promotion of Buddhism, it is possible to fly to Wuxi, and it is possible for Zen masters after the sixth ancestor to open up new Dojo such as Prajna and Chenghua.

Hui Yuan, a monk in the Jin Dynasty, once gathered 123 people at the Tuolin Temple in Huxi, Lushan Mountain, vowed to specialize in Buddhism before the Infinite Life Buddha, and died in the pure land of the West, known as the Pure Land Sect in history. Because there are many white lotus plants in the temple, it is also called Pure Land Sect as "White Lotus Sect". In particular, the development of Mao Ziyuan in the Song Dynasty made the "White Lotus Sect" the most prosperous. Song Gaozong gave the plaque "Lotus Club" and named Mao Ziyuan "Master of Pure Land Lotus". "Mao", lush; Build. In particular, the setting of Jinding Maitreya Hall and Sakya Hall in Hongyun is the most peculiar, which is very suitable for the development of An Baili society (Pure Land Sect). Right, right.

(13) "Bi" means jade. There is a kind of "harmonious jade", which is very precious. Zhao Haigui is a national treasure. This nine-year-old baby is said to be Lingshan Temple in Fan Jing. The "cassock" and "cassock" of the gods and wine vessels, that is, the utensils for worshipping the gods, refer to the Buddha statues. "An" interrogative words; "send", put. The Lingshan Temple in Fan Jing soon declined, so where are the vessels dedicated to the gods?

(14) "Bai Ning", that is, Bai Zhu, the name of an ancient epigraph, refers to music, which is extended to Buddhist songs and the sound of enlightenment; "Chicheng", the Qingcheng Mountain in Chengdu, often has rosy clouds on its top. This refers to the rosy clouds filled with air. Sentence meaning: Don't let tourists hear music and Buddhist songs just because the mountain is high! Or let these scenery live up to the magnificent rosy clouds.

(15) "Four" refers to Chen and Li. "Yuesi" is a saying; "Weighing" is equal and relative. "Guan Zi Re-discussion on B": "Therefore, we should balance with the sky and compete for rank in all weather"; Fang Yue, a parallel mountain; "It's called", everyone thinks; "Two rooms" means between heaven and earth. Please state that there are comparable mountains in the house. They all think that the most famous peaks between heaven and earth can stand still, which is not as good as the four famous mountains (Dai Dong, Xihua, Nanheng and Beichang).

"You" and "you" have the appearance of a dragon and the appearance of behavior. The main idea of this sentence: this mountain peak, looking up at the sky, towering into the clouds; The government looked at it, thick and beautiful. The underground is really deep. It is said that the mountains are high and the valleys are deep.

(19) "Qiu" and "Qiu" both refer to dragons without feet. Some places are inverted sentences: trees are gloomy and pale, snakes and dragons crouch (or branches are coiled like dragons and snakes), and fairy ladders are connected and indestructible. Transposition description jinding.

(22) "Ding" means incense burner; "Sage and truth" refers to the Buddha who knows, and "self-wisdom" surrounds the brilliance of the Buddha's body; "Yumen", Buddhism, and "rate soil" are the ellipsis of land, meaning within the four seas; Ming Zen refers to the immortal who has not become a Buddha. It is said that the mountains and rivers are beautiful and the buddhas and gods gather.

(23) This sentence shows that Fan Jingshan is a mountain with many streams, rich resources and rich products.

(24) "Three Treasures" refers to Buddhism, Buddhism and Buddhism. Although Fan Jingshan is towering and steep, the road is rugged and difficult to walk, but now the Buddha's God secretly protects it, so that pilgrims can save the day and those who believe in Buddhism are rewarded.

This is the land of Gankun, the boundless dharma realm and the paradise of bliss. "Elysium" is the highest realm of Maitreya's pure land.

Fan Jing is famous for his gods, and has been very prosperous since it was developed. People who worship are no different from running water, not only ordinary people, but also princes. Ba, no, it's no different.

The name of mountain gods has been introduced to Nanjing and Beijing for a long time, which makes the chief secretaries, officials and dignitaries of the capital and the famous Fuan and Daofu admire and yearn for it, or donate money and materials, or painstakingly offer sacrifices, hoping to die in the pure land. "Yellow Emperor", the ancestor of the Chinese nation; Peacetime is a time of rest. "I don't want to be friends with the Yellow Emperor and dream of it" means: I don't want to end the world like a dream in the future, get rid of suffering and go to the pure land of the West. Another way of saying it is that "quiet time" refers to An Qisheng, and "nothing more than ..." This sentence means that everyone wants to accept the magic of An Qisheng in their dreams, knowing both the past and the future.

(28) "Truth" is sacred, true and immortal; The "four" here refers to Fan Jing; To stand out means to stand out from the crowd. Since ancient times, a person has achieved immortality by concentrating on himself and standing out from the crowd. This is a compliment.

(29) "Don't worry" and do your best. It is difficult to describe the word "difficult" between "doubter" and "easy", other immortal relics, inscriptions on the standard products, and many brilliant and outstanding things.

(30) The "sowing chaos" refers to the chaos in Bozhou, that is, from the 27th year of Wanli (A.D. 1599) to the 28th year (A.D. 1600), Yang Yinglong, the toast of Bozhou (now Zunyi area), rebelled against the Ming Dynasty and sent his son Yang Chaodong to guard Fan Jingshan as a retreat. The Ming army went into repression and fought for Fanjingshan Temple as a camp, which led to the destruction of the temple. "Hope" is sparse. "luck" luck and luck; The result leads to the inevitable result. Since the Bozhou Rebellion, (the news of Fan Jingshan's destruction) has been widely circulated in various places, and the number of people who go to worship and make pilgrimages has gradually become scarce, and it is no longer as prosperous as before. Maybe this is the fate of Buddha.

I think the prosperity of the world depends entirely on the fate given by the Buddha, and the glory of the mountain mainly comes from modification and cultivation.

(33) This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a benevolent and wise king who is interdependent with hundreds of gods, whose virtues spread in all directions and benefits extended to all people.

(34) "Tian" is the emperor, usually called the son of heaven; "Luan", the golden palace, refers to the place where the emperor went to court to manage politics. Because the emperor pitied the desolation and decadence of the famous mountains, he specially gave Miaoxuan the name of "Qin Ming Monk" and organized the reconstruction of Jinding Daxiong Hall, just like going there in person.
