Zhanjiang Marriage Custom: Wedding custom.

When a man and a woman get married on a selected auspicious day, the wedding procedures and ceremonies are very popular in Zhanjiang.

On the third day of marriage, the bride has the custom of going back to her parents' home, which is also called "mothering". Most couples return to China together, and the gifts for returning home must include capon, pork, cake and candy. The woman's family will give some gifts to relatives and neighbors, indicating that her daughter is married and everything goes well with her husband's family. Generally, the son-in-law who kills chickens in her mother-in-law's house will come back the same day after a big meal without staying overnight. Zhanjiang urban and rural areas do not violate this example.
