How to pay homage seven days before death?
The first seven, China people's funeral custom, is based on the time of the deceased's death, plus heavenly stems and earthly branches to calculate the date and hour, but everyone used to think that "the first seven" refers to the seventh day after death.
Different places have different "first seven" customs. But it is generally believed that the soul of the deceased will go home in the first seven days. Family members should prepare a meal for the dead before their souls come back, and then they must avoid it. The best way is to sleep. If you can't sleep, you should hide under the bed. If the soul of the deceased sees his family, it will make him miss and affect his reincarnation.
It is also said that the soul will wander around before the "first seven" after death. When they come home at midnight on the first seven days, their families will burn a ladder-shaped thing at home and let their souls go up to heaven along this ladder.

The most important thing is the coffin, followed by the shroud. According to local customs, these two things are usually prepared before the old man dies. In the past, cypress was the best wood for preparing coffins. The thicker the board, the bigger the coffin, the better. The shroud should be prepared with clothes, pants (skirts), shoes, socks and hats. Clothes and trousers should be made of cotton, and the colors of shroud are mostly red and blue. Avoid black and flowers. These spare items seem unlucky, but no one is afraid. Some people have been prepared, and as a result, they will not die for many years, so they have to keep their clothes and "houses" in another world for backup.

A black porcelain lamp, called a "soul lamp", was lit at the head of the coffin, and a pottery basin was placed for burning paper during the funeral. A shed called "Lingpeng" was set up in front of the coffin house, and a table was set up in the shed to hold a mourning ceremony. When delivering soup, filial piety is carried out separately. The male is led by the eldest son; The daughter is led by the eldest daughter-in-law, who carries the soup pot. Filial piety men and women must cry when they send soup, and the more painful they cry, the more filial they are; If you don't cry, you have no feelings for the dead and are unfilial. When the dutiful sons go to the alley or the suburbs, the person in charge reads the invitation to Ling, burns it, salutes and goes home. The soul of the deceased is going home. The first deceased and the second deceased enjoy sacrifices at home. This is also a way for filial sons and grandchildren to commemorate their late father or mother. Later, on the way out of the hospital, Xiao Wen knelt in front of the coffin. The moment the coffin started, the person in charge put the "old basin" on the eldest son's head and smashed it into a circle, which was called "breaking the old basin". Then, a cheeky team composed of strong neighbors carried the coffin into the grave, or pulled it into the grave with cars and tractors. At this time, the neighbors of Zhuang, who were helping, took shovels, shovels, cars and other tools to the graveyard to add soil and bury the dead.
