What are the taboos for worshipping Buddha?

(1) You'd better wash your hands before you burn incense to show your piety. It should be noted that the more fragrant, the better. When you burn incense, you must hold it in your hand and hold it over your head. Then after the respectful ceremony, you can put the incense in your hand in the incense burner. When you see what you want, you can pay tribute to yourself.

(2) When holding incense, the hand looks like asking. The forefinger and middle finger of both hands hold the fragrant foot, and the two thumbs press against the end of the fragrant foot. Remember to hold the incense firmly, don't use too much force, then lift the incense to the eyebrows, flush with the eyebrows, look at the solemn Buddha statue with your eyes, and then associate it with the Buddha to observe. Remember to look at your eyes and nose and your heart. With my piety, I think what you think and what you wish.

(3) The key point of kowtowing is mainly the steps, and some people kowtow in a hurry. In fact, according to the standard posture of Buddhism, you should kneel on the futon with your hands folded. At this time, we should follow the etiquette of putting our hands together. Note that the palm of your hand is hollow, then hold it high above your head and pause to your mouth when you go down. Then you can make a wish and meditate on what you want.

(4) When worshiping God, it is best to spread out your palm again, and the left palm will go down to the futon first, and the palm will be divided into three steps. Take the left palm first, move it to the middle of the futon, and then go down to the right palm. The third step is to put the left palm and the right palm together, and then lie prone on the palm. Put your hand in front of the futon and knock your head off. Meditate in your heart and wish you all the best.

(5) When burning incense, don't be disturbed by people around you. Interruption here means not whispering, being sincere, and not burning incense when talking to others. This is also one of the stresses of burning incense. Don't point fingers at any Buddha statue. Don't say disrespectful things. Anyway, since you burn incense and worship Buddha, you should be respectful and pious. If you need to kneel on the futon when burning incense, you need to be careful not to cross the futon, which is regarded as disrespect in Buddhism.

(6) According to traditional customs, one wick of incense generally represents one heart and one mind, three wick of incense prays for oneself, six wick of incense prays for two generations, and nine wick of incense mainly prays for three generations. Thirteen is an extreme, and thirteen incense refers to the high incense with perfect merit. You should kowtow after burning incense, but it is generally appropriate to worship Buddha with one wick of incense or three wick of incense. At present, most temples are mainly based on environmental protection, and only one wick or three wick incense can be used.
