Climate characteristics of India: Most parts of India belong to tropical monsoon climate, with high temperature all year round. Due to the influence of monsoon, a year can also be divided into dry season and rainy season, and the wind direction changes with the seasons. In the dry season, the wind blows from the land to the sea, and there is little rain. In the rainy season, the wind blows from the ocean to the land, and the precipitation is concentrated. Main climatic zones in India:

1, tropical monsoon climate zone: about 60% of the Indian Peninsula belongs to this climate;

2. Tropical rain forest climate zone: distributed in the coastal lowlands in the south of Indian Peninsula. It is hot and rainy all year round, and the temperature difference is very small. 3. Subtropical monsoon humid climate zone: mainly including Ganges-Brahmaputra river basin.

4. Desert climate zone: distributed in thar desert in the west. There is little or no rain all year round, with the temperature above 50℃ in summer and cooler in winter.

5. Alpine climate zone: It mainly includes areas with an altitude of more than 3,500 meters on the northwest and northeast borders. It is cold and dry in winter and spring, and the lowest temperature can reach-30℃; It is cool in summer and autumn. There is snow all year round, and the vertical change of climate is obvious.

6. It is hot and rainy in summer and cool and humid in winter. There is abundant rainfall throughout the year. The annual precipitation in Kilapangi, Nagaland is more than 10000 mm, which is called the "world rain pole".
