In what year does leap month occur?
The origin of lunar leap month
The lunar calendar is calculated according to the cycle of the moon orbiting the earth, also called the lunar calendar. The moon's orbit around the earth is a lunar month, which takes 29 days 12: 44. Take the 29th or 30th as a month. * * * There are 12 months and 354 days in a year, so the lunar calendar takes less time to revolve around the sun than the earth 1 1- 12 days, one month less in three years. Without adjustment, 15 will be followed by January summer and July winter. The ancients used the method of "one leap in three years and seven leap in nineteen years" to adjust the contradiction between the lunar calendar and the solar calendar.
In which month should leap month be set? Every dynasty has different rules. In the early Qing dynasty, it was changed to the current leap rule, that is, the month without neutral gas in the 24 solar terms was the leap month of the previous month. For example, 1993, the weather in Grain Rain falls on February 29th, and there will only be a long summer solar term next month, and the weather in Xiaoman will be postponed until the first day of next month, so this month is designated as a leap month last month. Last month was March 1 day, which was a leap March.
