Water intake problem of motorcycle carburetor
There is something wrong with the motorcycle. Why is there water in the carburetor?
Some problems with motorcycles are that the carburetor has water, so why does the carburetor have water? How does water get into the carburetor? How to prevent carburetor from entering water? How to solve this problem if there is water? thank you
How to observe, judge or detect whether the carburetor discharges water or water? Or gasoline and water?
After the carburetor enters the water, loosen the oil screw in time to release the accumulated water in the carburetor and let the carburetor replenish some fresh gasoline, which will make the start smoother. Therefore, for motorcycles that have been parked for a long time, it is best to drain the old gasoline from the carburetor and inject some fresh gasoline before starting. For motorcycles that have been parked for a long time, the water vapor in the air will gradually condense in the fuel tank due to the breathing effect of the air in the fuel tank. Water is heavier than gasoline, and it condenses more water vapor, which will eventually settle to the bottom of the fuel tank. Once the water enters the carburetor, the motorcycle will become difficult to start. There are two reasons why the motorcycle is not easy to start after the carburetor is flooded:
1. Water is sucked out of the carburetor and will not be ignited by the spark plug.
2. The spark plug is wet by the water mist sucked into the cylinder, and the porcelain column of the spark plug electrode is no longer insulated, so that the electrode can not discharge and strike normally.
1. If there is little water in the carburetor, there will be no obvious symptoms.
2. If the water accumulated in the carburetor exceeds 1/3 of the volume of the bottom shell, the engine will have the fault of high-speed lean oil or insufficient horsepower.
3. If the accumulated water in the carburetor has occupied all the space of the bottom shell, the engine will not start.
Main water inlet modes of fuel supply system:
1) seeps into the fuel tank from the fuel tank cover and flows into the carburetor;
2) It is sucked by the air inlet of the air cleaner and then enters the carburetor;
3) Directly enter the carburetor from the breather pipe of the carburetor.
If it is determined that the carburetor is flooded, the simplest treatment method can be adopted. First, turn off the switch of the fuel tank and loosen the oil spill screw at the bottom of the carburetor (don't unscrew it completely, just loosen it a few times). At this point, the oil spill pipe began to drain slowly until it was completely emptied. Turn on the switch of the oil tank, and tighten the screw when the oil spill pipe discharges oil again. If the carburetor is blocked by foreign matter, the above method is invalid. Remove the carburetor, decompose it step by step, and thoroughly clean all the oil ports, oil injection holes and oil measuring holes of the carburetor with special cleaning spray.
Carburetor is a mechanical device that mixes a certain proportion of gasoline with air under the vacuum generated by engine operation. As a precise mechanical device, carburetor uses the kinetic energy of inhaled airflow to atomize gasoline. Its important role in the engine can be called the "heart" of the engine. Its complete device should include starting device, idling device, medium load device, full load device and acceleration device. The carburetor will automatically match the corresponding concentration and output the corresponding amount of mixed gas according to the requirements of different working conditions of the engine. In order to mix the mixture evenly, the carburetor also has the function of atomizing fuel for the normal operation of the machine.
Carburetors are divided into simple carburetors and complex carburetors. Carburetors can also be divided into downward suction type and horizontal suction type. According to the type of throttle, carburetor can be divided into rotary type and lifting type. The rotary throttle valve is a disc-shaped throttle valve, which rotates around the axis between the carburetor throat and the intake pipe to change the flow area of the intake pipe. The lifting throttle valve is a bucket-shaped plate throttle valve, which moves up and down in the throat to change the channel area of the throat. This form is often used in motorcycle carburetor. There is also a carburetor that is a mixture of the two. The rotating throttle is controlled by people, and the lifting throttle is controlled by diaphragm, which is also often used on motorcycles and is called CV type.
