Yongshan County belongs to Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is located on the south bank of Jinsha River in the northwest of Wumeng Mountain in Xiluodu County, across the river from Leibo County in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is 820 meters above sea level, 200 kilometers away from Zhaotong Municipal Government and 580 kilometers away from Kunming, the provincial capital. The county has a population of 25,000.
