What does it mean that the dashboard shows epc?

When the on-board instrument displays "EPC", the engine power control management system fails.

EPC indicator light will light up in two states, namely, power-on self-test light up and light up in other cases. POST is an indication to monitor the sensor status of the whole vehicle before driving. Generally, it does not start after power-on, and will go out by itself after waiting for about 3 seconds.

In other cases, if the EPC indicator light is on, but it will not go out for a long time after the vehicle is started, then the main reasons for the EPC indicator light to be on are engine intake system failure, throttle failure, fuel system failure, engine failure, ECU control unit failure, brake light failure, etc.
