Traditional Culture Encyclopedia - The 24 Solar Terms - The difference between before and after dew
The difference between before and after dew
Under normal circumstances, the grape picking time in the northern hemisphere is at the end of September, but there are also some late-picked grapes, especially in high-latitude wine producing areas such as Germany and Canada, such as the famous German ice wine and Canadian ice wine. Grapes for brewing ice wine are all picked after the first freezing period in winter. As for the term "wine before dew", it is rare, but there are a series of wines named after it in China, namely Changbai Mountain brand cold wine series, which have four types, namely, wine before dew in cold places, wine after dew in cold places, wine before frost in cold places and wine after frost in cold places. These wines all adopt the internationally popular late picking method. By delaying the harvest time of grapes, we can further concentrate the flavor substances of grapes and brew more mellow wine for export. The grape picking time of these four kinds of cold wine products corresponds to the traditional solar terms "cold dew" and "first frost" in China, and the grape picking time is delayed to before cold dew (65438+1early October), after cold dew (65438+1mid-October) and before first frost (65438+/kloc-0)
