How to catch herring in the reservoir

Black herring, commonly known as green head, black head, Qing Wu and snail green, is a very common freshwater fish in life and a common object of fishing. Everyone knows that different species have different fishing skills, so do you know what the fishing skills of herring are? Come and have a look with me.

Skills of catching herring in reservoir

Hint 1: fishing gear

pole

Use a hard pole with a height of more than 6 meters.

line

A fishing line with a diameter of 0.6 mm can be used. The diameter of the main line should also be greater than 0.4 mm, and the brain line should not be shorter than 30 cm. It is best to use a reel, and the wind line at the tip of the pole should be left longer to facilitate fishing.

hook

You can use more than 8 hooks. The bend of the hook should be wider and barbed. You can also hook the two hooks together (or add another hook) and wrap them with bait, similar to bomb hooks. Because there are many hooks, the hooks are tied in many parts of the herring mouth, and the hooks are stronger.

If you go fishing for big herring purposefully in advance, you should also prepare the hook, because it is better to copy big fish with the hook, and the handle of the net is thin and easy to break. When fishing big fish, especially when there is a steep slope between the shore and the water surface, it is best to use a long-handled hook.

Tip 2: Fishing bait

bait

(1) silkworm chrysalis powder bait, 40% cake powder, 35% silkworm chrysalis powder, 15% flour, 10% fish meal. Stir-fry the cake powder first, then mix several other powdery substances, add appropriate amount of water and mix well. It can be used as bait or as bad food for bomb hooks.

(2) Mix 400g of wheat bran flour,100g of fried broad bean flour,100g of corn flour and100g of flour (or bone meal) with water.

(3) Soak it in granular feed mainly used in fishing grounds and fish ponds, then add wheat bran powder and a small amount of flour, knead it into balls and throw it out.

(4) Chopping snail meat and clam meat, and kneading into balls with flour, corn flour and shrimp powder.

(5) Steaming sweet potato powder, mashing, adding wheat bran and flour, and kneading dough.

Bait formula

Mix 200g (1) wheat bran and 1 bag of commercial bait (finished bait for herring and grass carp), add water and stir to make bait balls with moderate hardness.

(2) Steam the sweet potato until it is 80% ripe (it can be crushed), then add a proper amount of flour (70% sweet potato, 30% flour), knead it into dough, and wrap it with elastic hooks.

(3) Shell the snail selenium, cut the snail meat into diced meat, and hook it directly with a hook. The hook tip should be slightly exposed.

(4) Mix the minced snail meat into the mashed sweet potato, add a little flour, and knead into a ball.

(5) 500g of mashed sweet potatoes, half a bag of finished bait and 50g of millet are soaked in wine, kneaded into balls and wrapped with elastic hooks.

(6) Both mussel meat and clam meat can be used as feed for herring fishing. You can hook it directly or mix it with bran, white flour and sweet potato paste.

(7) Steaming the sweet potato to 80% maturity, cutting it into small pieces, and dipping the batter, wine or essence outside the sweet potato pieces through hooks.

(8) Steaming the sweet potato to 80% maturity, mashing, mixing with flour, and making noodle hooks. It is very effective to catch herring in August-September (rice harvest season).

Tip 3: Fishing Point

Black herring is not as active as grass carp, and likes to live in quiet underwater places. Therefore, the fishing point should be chosen in a secluded place far away from interference and inaccessible. At a certain depth of water, snails, inkstones and mussels are dense, and underwater is a rocky environment. Secondly, choose reservoirs, lakes, dams and marked places.

But no matter where you choose to fish, you should fish deep rather than shallow. The optimum water depth is 3 ~ 8m. Because herring can resist hypoxia, it still bites the hook and swallows the bait even in rainy season. (Actually, the biting rate of herring is higher in rainy season. The best time to catch herring is from May to 165438+ 10 every year.

Tip 4: Fishing posture

Fishing herring with throwing rod in lakes and reservoirs: When choosing fishing position, be sure to find a gentle slope or an open place, so that you have enough space to deal with big fish when walking it. Don't choose an environment with steep river bank, large drop between water surface and river bank and many trees or weeds, so as not to bring trouble to throwing poles or copying fish.

Tip 5: Fishing method

In order to catch herring with throwing rod, we must first lure the fish with throwing heavy bait. Because herring eats a lot, the bait is not enough to stay at the fishing point, so when fishing herring, you must prepare enough bait to make a nest. Fishing in natural waters such as lakes and reservoirs. The bait is made of soaked whole wheat and mashed snails. Fishing friends with boats can use plastic woven bags filled with rapeseed cakes and wheat to sink into the fishing spot, and then make an eye-catching sign at the fishing spot. Feed fishing (fishermen in northern China can use whole bean cake as bait). When fishing, 60% bran, 20% rapeseed cake, 20% wheat and 10% flour can be kneaded into egg-sized particles for fishing. When the temperature is low in winter, you can hang earthworms or snails on a string hook for fishing.

Tip 6: The reaction force of the hook

It is best not to use the bell at the tip of the pole when throwing the pole to catch herring. Whether a fish has a hook or not depends on the reaction of the pole tip. The hook of herring has two reactions.

One is that after the fish is hooked, the straight line suddenly returns without warning (without any warning beforehand).

Second, the tip of the throwing pole "bends down" several times. The movement is slow and there is no loop (there is no displacement of the lead drop). When the above actions occur, the fisherman should use more strength to lift the pole.

If you feel the hook hanging on the bottom when lifting the pole, it means that the herring has a hook. There is another situation that allows you to judge whether the hook is a herring. When you lift the pole, you will feel that the fish is not struggling quickly. When you close the line, it will swing from side to side under the water, instead of struggling in the middle of the water like other fish. Then you can conclude that it must be herring.

Tip 7: Walk the fish

Herring seldom unhook after being hooked. This is determined by the way it eats the bait. Unlike other toothless fish. Just suck the bait into your mouth. It needs to be chewed after being sucked into the mouth. We can see it from the mouth of the caught herring. There are usually several hooks on the hook of herring. That's why it's hard to escape.

Therefore, as long as the fishing line can bear it, there is no need to be nervous. Keep the fishing rod at an angle of 70 ~ 80 degrees from the water surface, and bow the fishing rod without loosening the line. When a big fish needs a line, let the force release device work, let the fish bear the load, and don't let all the lines of the fishing boat go out. When a fish swims in deep water, the fishing line can be released or closed, which makes the big fish feel helpless and forces it to turn around and break free, so as to consume the physical strength of the herring and complete the passive walking of the fish.

When the fish's physical strength is not completely exhausted, the speed of winding can be slowed down. Never meet a mermaid too early. If you see a fish that has walked out of the water on its own initiative, it means that the herring doesn't have much physical support, and the angler can enter the stage of taking the initiative to walk. Take the fish for a walk in their fishing place. After discovering that the fish in the hook turned into a fish star the size of an egg. It means that the fish is exhausted. Stick to it for a while, it will roll for more than three times in a row, and you can drop the fish by lying still in the water.

Details of fishing in winter

1, the main target fish should be determined accurately.

In winter, with the gradual decrease of temperature and water temperature, most freshwater fish are inactive, and some even stop eating. In this season, crucian carp and carp with relatively high activity should be the main target fish.

2. Seasonal common sense that fishing groups should follow.

"Soft rod, thin thread and small hook" are the main colors of fish. Take the traditional fishing method of crucian carp as an example: the combination of four-six-tone or five-five-tone streamer, 0.3-0.6 nylon line and 3-5 thin hook is suitable; Floating fishing should be sensitive; Take the drift adjustment of Taiwan Province fishing as an example: it is best to "improve the fishing height and reduce the fishing height", but the disparity should not be too big, and it is appropriate to have about 2 meshes; It is appropriate to use 2 # and 3# peacock feathers with clear language and sensitive response to float;

3. The choice of fishing position should be based on the weather, location and people.

(1), due to time

On sunny days, fishing in deep water in the morning and evening, and fishing in shallow water at noon; In foggy days, it is advisable to fish deep water before the fog clears and shallow water after the fog clears; It is advisable to fish deep water on cloudy days;

On sunny days, deep-water fishing is relative in the morning and evening.

(2) Because of water

When the water body emits fog (such as steam), it is advisable to fish in shallow water; It is hot to test the water by hand when fishing in shallow water; After coming out of the water, touch the waterfall/hook with your hand. When you feel cold, you should fish in shallow water.

(3), due to the ground

Leeward facing the sun is the first choice; Obstacles such as aquatic plants are better than open water;

4. Pay attention to fishy smell and activity in bait configuration.

(1), the first choice for traditional fishing is rice wine, earthworms or red worms;

(2) Taiwan fishing pays attention to the combination of lure and fishing, and the bait is mainly fishy, but the state of the bait is very important;

Earthworms and red worms should be alive; The bait configuration cannot destroy its entity, and its hook, shedding and atomization are all good; Fishing grounds with fish's partial eclipse should be adapted to local conditions, and it is necessary to find Yuantang granules or other food-borne bait.
