2. The origin of the twenty-four solar terms. Twenty-four solar terms are an important part of the long history and culture of the Chinese nation, expressing the unique concept of time between human beings and the natural universe, and containing the long cultural connotation and historical accumulation of the Chinese nation. "Twenty-four solar terms" and "December architecture" are the basic contents of the ancient trunk and branch calendars. According to ancient records, Emperor Tiandi began to determine his age in the name of cadres and branches. "Twenty-four solar terms" is a special festival in the dry calendar, indicating the changes of seasons, phenology and climate, and establishing "December construction" (monthly order). The circular rotation of the Big Dipper is closely related to the change of solar terms. The Big Dipper consists of seven stars, namely Shu Tian, Tian Xuan, Tianji, Tianquan, Yuheng, Kaiyang and Yaoguang. Named for its twists and turns. In different seasons and at different times, the Big Dipper will point in different directions, which became the basis for ancient people to judge solar terms. The season and month are determined according to the direction pointed by the bucket handle of the Big Dipper, which is called sword fighting, and the "sword" represents the direction of the top of the bucket handle of the Big Dipper. A year is divided into twelve days ("December Day"), and bucket handle rotates and points to twelve days in turn, which is called "December Day" (or "December Order"). In ancient culture, the time and position of branch and gossip are linked together. Yin position is the root position of the acquired gossip, the position at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, representing the end and beginning. For example, "Yi Shuo Gua Zhuan": "Gen, the divination in the northeast is also the beginning of all things." That is to say, bucket handle starts from the north of due east (Yin position, acquired gossip position), and the east, south, west and north make a circle as a cycle, which is called one of the "years old" (Figure). Silver moon is the "spring", beginning of spring is the beginning of a year, and from beginning of spring to the next beginning of spring is one year old. Bucket handle, the Big Dipper, points to the establishment of the 24 solar terms, starting from beginning of spring and ending in severe cold.
