There are two periods in a year to choose the date of feng shui. At one time, before and after Tomb-Sweeping Day, all matters about burying haunted houses, such as adding soil, erecting monuments and planting trees, were not taboo, which is why people concentrated all matters about burying haunted houses in Tomb-Sweeping Day.

Tomb-Sweeping Day is the third of the 24 solar terms in a year. In February of the lunar calendar, it means "neutral atmosphere, refreshing scenery", which was originally the season of spring blossoms. Because it almost coincides with the Cold Food Festival to worship ancestors, Tomb-Sweeping Day has become our traditional festival to worship ancestors, so it is also called Ghost Festival.
