No matter what classification your pulmonary nodules belong to, don't be so anxious to diagnose yourself blindly. Because no kind of lung nodule can be all benign or all malignant.

Then how to judge?

First of all, once the lung nodules are found, on the basis of low-dose spiral CT examination, three-dimensional imaging is carried out to comprehensively judge the malignant degree of the nodules. Doctors will comprehensively judge from the following aspects:

1. Look at the size: new solid nodules larger than 1.5 cm or mixed ground-glass nodules larger than 8mm for no reason are high-risk nodules, or the probability of malignant tumors is high.

2. Look at the shape: What shape is the lung nodule? Is that weird? The greater the possibility of malignant tumor. The so-called eccentricity includes lobulation, burr, pleural traction, gas-containing bronchiole sign and vesicular sign, eccentric thick-walled cavity and so on. If the nodule has an odd shape, it can only be guided by a professional doctor.

3. Look at the growth rate: malignant pulmonary nodules grow rapidly, while benign pulmonary nodules grow slowly. If it is caused by inflammation, the nodule may increase in a short time, and it will obviously shrink or even disappear after anti-inflammatory or other treatment. Regular inspection is recommended.

Secondly, it is a very professional thing to judge whether a pulmonary nodule is benign or malignant. Patients should not look up the information themselves to judge, and professional matters should be handled by professional doctors.
