How often does Honda URV clean the throttle?

Under normal circumstances, Honda URV throttle is cleaned once when driving about 20-30 thousand kilometers. If it is not too dirty, you can clean the throttle directly with cleaning agent without removing the throttle. However, the cleaning method of removing the throttle valve can be cleaned more cleanly. The cleaning steps for removing the throttle valve are as follows:

1. Find the position of the throttle valve, which is located behind the air inlet and connected to the air filter;

2. Remove the connecting hose between the throttle valve and the air filter first, and then remove the assembly of the air filter;

3. Then remove the throttle cable, unscrew the fixing bolt and remove the throttle;

4. Use special cleaning agent or carburetor cleaning agent, spray a little on the accelerator, wait for the organic solvent to dissolve the carbon deposit, and wipe the stain clean after 1-2 minutes.

In addition to the above methods, you can also use the cleaning method without disassembling the throttle valve, just spray the cleaning agent into the throttle valve when the engine is running. The practice of most 4S shops and repair shops is to slam on the accelerator while injecting cleaning agent into the accelerator. At this time, the vehicle will emit white smoke because the cleaned stains are strongly ignited by the suction cylinder and then discharged. This cleaning method is relatively more harmful to the car, so it is suggested that disassembly and cleaning will be better and more beneficial to the car.
