When does white garlic ripen?
Garlic sown in autumn ripens in May-June of the following year. Compared with spring sowing garlic, the yield of garlic and garlic moss is higher. Generally, the sowing date in North China is in the middle and late September, and that in South China is in the middle and early September. Spring sowing is feasible in northeast, northwest and alpine regions. Spring sowing time is from April to May, and spring sowing garlic is harvested in September of that year. For example, garlic in Acheng, Heilongjiang Province, the hometown of garlic in northern China, matured in early September.
