Gas welding operation steps

The gas welding operation steps are as follows:

1. Pre-welding inspection: it is necessary to check whether its spray and suction performance is normal and whether there is leakage at the joint between the welding torch and the needle valve of the adjusting handwheel. Gas welding must be done with a gas welding gun, and pay attention to safety before use.

2. Ignition: When igniting, you can turn on the acetylene handwheel first, then immediately turn on the oxygen regulating valve handwheel to adjust the flame, or slightly turn on the oxygen regulating handwheel, and then turn on the acetylene regulating handwheel to immediately ignite.

3. Preheating adjustment: after ignition, preheat for a period of time, slowly increase the oxygen concentration, and the flame will be shortened from long to short, forming a neutral flame.

4. Welding: Find the welding point on the object, and perform welding, cutting and other operations. Wear a protective cover to protect your eyes. If backfire occurs during operation, the oxygen regulating handwheel should be closed quickly, and then the acetylene regulating handwheel should be closed. After tempering is extinguished, put the welding nozzle into water to cool, then turn on oxygen to blow off the soot in the welding torch, and then re-ignite.

5. flameout: when the flame stops using, the acetylene adjusting handwheel should be turned off first to prevent backfire, and then the oxygen valve should be turned off.

6. Cleaning after welding: The welding torch should be hung in a proper place, or the hose should be taken out and stored in the toolbox. It is forbidden to permanently connect the welding torch, hose and air source without removing the hose for convenience.
