Can you catch earthworms after beginning of spring?

After spring, when the air is humid, earthworms can be dug up. Earthworms breathe through the skin, and oxygen in soil crevices usually dissolves in the mucus on the surface of earthworm skin. After the rain in early spring, the rain filled the gaps in the soil, so the earthworm could not breathe and had to drill out of the ground. Therefore, beginning of spring is very suitable for digging earthworms.

Beginning of spring is the first of the 24 solar terms. Standing means "start"; Spring represents warmth and growth. Twenty-four solar terms were originally formulated on the basis of "variable stars". When the bucket handle of the Big Dipper points to the shade, it is beginning of spring.
