How does Chinese medicine treat vitiligo?

(1) Liver-qi stagnation type. Leukoplakia has no fixed hair position, the color changes from shallow to deep, and the skin lesions develop slowly. When the mood changes, the skin lesions are aggravated, often accompanied by fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, impatience and irritability, irregular menstruation, red tongue with thin fur and thin pulse.

Treatment: Shugan Jieyu, Huoxue Qufeng.

Prescription: Xiaoyao San. Angelica sinensis10g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra and Radix Paeoniae Alba10g, Radix Curcumae10g, Radix Bupleuri 6g, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae10g, Herba Leonuri10g, Fructus Tribuli 20g, Rhizoma Cyperi 6g, magnet 30g.

Commonly used Chinese patent medicine: Danzhi Xiaoyao Powder, 6g, taken orally three times a day. Or Xiaoyaosan granules, 15g, taken orally three times a day.

(2) Deficiency of liver and kidney. The leukoplakia is well-defined, the hair in the depigmented spots is white, limited or generalized, the course of disease is long, there is a genetic tendency, and the treatment effect is not obvious, accompanied by dizziness and tinnitus, soreness of the waist and knees, pale tongue with yellow fur and weak pulse.

Treatment: nourishing liver and kidney, nourishing blood and expelling wind.

Prescription: Liuwei Dihuang Pill. Raw and cooked land 15g, yam 10g, Lycium barbarum 12g, Poria cocos 10g, Polygonum multiflorum 20g, Psoralea corylifolia 15g, Sesamum nigrum 15g and Ligustrum lucidum 15g.

Commonly used Chinese patent medicine: Liuwei Dihuang Pill, 36 capsules, taken orally twice a day.

(3) Qi stagnation and blood stasis. Leukoplakia is limited and asymmetrical, with clear boundary, white hair in the spot, slow progress of the disease, poor treatment effect, dark purple tongue, or petechiae, tortuous sublingual collaterals, thin fur and unsmooth pulse.

Treatment: promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, expelling wind and dredging collaterals.

Prescription: Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction. Peach kernel 10g, safflower 10g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra 10g, Herba Artemisiae Anomalae 10g, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae 15g, Radix Arnebiae 15g, Radix Clematidis 10g, and Rhizoma Chuanxiong/.

Commonly used Chinese patent medicine: Xuefu Zhuyu oral liquid, 10ml, taken orally three times a day.

(4) Deficiency of both qi and blood. Leukoplakia is pale, with blurred edges and slow development, accompanied by listlessness, pale face, tepid hands and feet, pale tongue, thin coating and deep and thin pulse.

Treatment: harmonize qi and blood, and dispel cold.

Prescription: Bazhen Decoction. Radix Astragali 10g, Radix Codonopsis 10g, Radix Angelicae Sinensis 12g, Radix Paeoniae Rubra 10g, Radix Polygoni Multiflori 12g, Eclipta prostrata 12g, Radix Saposhnikoviae 10g, and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae/kloc

Commonly used Chinese patent medicine: Bazhen Mu Yi Pill, 60 pills, taken orally twice a day.

(5) Dry the blood with hot air. Leukoplakia is bright in color, mostly occurring on the head or whole body, with acute onset and rapid spread, accompanied by five upset, dizziness, dry red tongue, white fur and rapid pulse.

Treatment: nourishing blood and moistening dryness, expelling wind and removing spots.

Prescription: Yangxue Xifeng Decoction. 20g of Radix Rehmanniae, Polygonum Multiflori Radix15g, Radix Paeoniae Alba10g, Eclipta prostrata12g, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae12g, Cortex Mori10g, Fructus Tribuli15g, etc.

Commonly used Chinese patent medicine: Dahuangchong Pill, 3g, taken orally twice a day. White Dihuang Pills, 36 pills, taken orally twice a day.

(6) Spleen and stomach weakness. Skin lesions are characterized by white spots and sallow color, which are common in the face and lips, mostly in children, and the disease develops slowly. Accompanied by loss of appetite, abdominal distension, fatigue and sallow complexion. The tongue is pale with white fur and weak pulse.

Treatment: regulating spleen and stomach, benefiting qi and nourishing blood, moistening skin and removing spots.

Prescription: Buzhong Yiqi Decoction. Codonopsis pilosula 10g, Astragalus membranaceus 12g, Atractylodes macrocephala 10g, Poria cocos 12g, Dioscorea opposita 10g, Angelica sinensis 12g, Salvia miltiorrhiza 10g, Paeonia lactiflora/kloc.
