Brief introduction of Beijing ancient architecture museum
Beijing Museum of Ancient Buildings is located in Xiannongtan on the west side of Yongdingmen Street, which belongs to Beijing Cultural Relics Bureau. 1988, with the active appeal and full help of experts in the cultural and artistic circles, the museum preparation office was established; 199 1 officially opened to the public on September 25th. It is the first theme museum in China that reflects the history, art and technology of ancient China architecture through collection, research and exhibition.
From Yan State to today's Beijing, the change of dynasties and the vagaries of the world all doomed Beijing to be extraordinary. You don't know how many history books you have to read. It will take months to visit. However, there is an extremely important exhibit in Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum: 1949 Beijing City-Sand Table Model.
Every tiny scene in the model vividly reproduces the streets, yamen and ancient gardens in the inner city of old Beijing, which is very suitable for understanding Beijing in China. During the period of 1949, the transformation of the old city of Beijing has not been officially started, which is the most complete time to preserve the style of the old city. Therefore, on this sand table model of 1949, we can learn about the ancient features of old Beijing, and we can easily find more than ten old city gate models of "nine miles and seven miles away" in old Beijing. If you close your eyes and stand in front of the sand table, it seems that you can still hear the shouts, hawking and opera singing in the old Beijing Hutong.
In order to give visitors a more stereoscopic and intuitive viewing experience, in 2006, Beijing Museum of Ancient Architecture spent half a year rebuilding the sand table model and added more vivid elements. The sand table rebuilt in Beijing has a sense of historical substitution. With the help of lighting, the urban pattern and main cultural relics resources of the old Beijing city are clearly displayed.
