Introduction of spring chicken

Beginning of spring, also known as "Da Chun" among the people, is one of the important traditional solar terms of the Han nationality, and ancient people often held grand celebrations on this day. Today, in the rural areas of southwestern Shandong and central Hebei, there is a custom of giving children "Spring Chicken" for good luck, commonly known as "Dai Chun Chicken". People sew "spring chicken" ornaments with colored cotton cloth and cotton, and wear them on children's sleeves or hats to cure children of diseases and disasters, and pray that children will thrive and be lucky. When wearing it, men are required to be left and women are right, which means that they have plenty of food and clothing, strong growth and good luck.
