What are the transmission operating modes?

The working modes of the automatic gearbox of Pacific Auto Network are sports mode, comfort mode and manual mode respectively. S stands for sports mode and c stands for manual mode.

Principle of automatic setting of driving mode

In the traditional hydraulic automatic transmission and the early electronic automatic transmission, the driving mode selection key is set. However, due to the large-scale integrated circuit adopted by ATECU, the new electronically controlled automatic transmission has powerful calculation ability and intelligent control function, so the driving mode selection key can be cancelled. ATECU can judge the driver's operation intention according to the driving state signal, gear lever position and accelerator pedal speed of the car, and automatically select and control the driving mode after calculation and analysis to meet different driving needs.

The specific control method is as follows:

1. When the shift lever is placed in the forward low gear (S gear or 2 gear, L gear or 1 gear), ATECU only selects the power mode.

2. When the shift lever is placed in the forward gear (D gear), if the accelerator pedal is depressed at a low speed, ATECU selects the economic mode; If the speed of stepping on the accelerator pedal exceeds the speed set in the control program, ATECU will command to switch from economy mode to power mode.

3. When the gear lever is placed in the forward position (D position) and ATECU selects the power mode, the throttle opening of group I is less than 12.5%, and the power mode will be converted to the economy mode.
