How does Cadillac ATS-L calibrate electronic throttle control?

After power failure (for example, disconnecting the battery or removing the high-current fuse in the distribution fuse box), the following steps must be performed to calibrate the electronic throttle control:

1. Turn on the ignition, but don't start the engine.

2. Keep the ignition switch on for at least three minutes to cycle the electronic throttle control and relearn its initial position.

3. Turn off the ignition switch.

4. Start and run the engine for at least 30 seconds.
