The reasons for the noise in the engine compartment after turning on the air conditioner are: dirty or stuck throttle, abnormal sound of air conditioning pump, poor tightness of compressor drive belt, etc.

1, dirty or stuck throttle

After the air conditioner works, the compressor will also work, and the compressor is driven by the engine. Therefore, turning on the air conditioner will increase the load of the engine, which means that the engine should increase the throttle opening and increase the air intake. When the throttle valve has carbon deposit or is stuck, it will cause engine jitter and abnormal noise. This will be more obvious after the air conditioner is turned on.

2. Abnormal sound of air conditioning pump

There are two main reasons for abnormal sound of air conditioning pump: electromagnetic clutch and bearing in air conditioning pump. The abnormal sound of electromagnetic clutch is mainly caused by the wear of electromagnetic clutch, and the abnormal sound of air conditioning pump bearing is mainly caused by the lack of lubricating oil. If these two problems are not solved in time, the air conditioning pump will be burned out and refrigeration cannot be carried out.

3. The tension of the compressor drive belt is poor

If the transmission belt is too loose, the electromagnetic clutch is easy to slip; If the drive belt is too tight, the load on the electromagnetic clutch will increase. Improper tightness of the drive belt will produce abnormal sound, and excessive belt will damage the air conditioner compressor.
