Climatic characteristics of Jinan

Jinan has a temperate monsoon climate. Jinan is located in the mid-latitude zone, influenced by solar radiation, atmospheric circulation and geographical environment, and belongs to temperate monsoon climate. It is characterized by obvious monsoon, four distinct seasons, drought and little rain in spring, warm and rainy in summer, cool and dry in autumn and cold and little snow in winter.

Jinan, also known as Quancheng, is the capital of Shandong Province, a sub-provincial city, a megacity and the core city of Jinan metropolitan area. It is the central city in the south wing of Bohai Rim approved by the State Council, the political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological, educational and financial center of Shandong Province, and an important transportation hub. As of 20 19, the whole city has jurisdiction over 2 counties in 10, with a total area of 10244.45 square kilometers and a built-up area of 760.6 square kilometers.

Jinan is located in the east of China, the middle of Shandong Province and the southeast edge of North China Plain. It is the headquarters of the army organs in the northern theater of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, with the capital economic circle in the north and the Yangtze River Delta economic circle in the south. It is an important intersection of the Bohai Economic Zone and the Beijing-Shanghai Economic Axis, and it is also one of the central cities of the Bohai Economic Zone and the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.
