Can the lunar calendar be abolished?

I think the lunar calendar can't be abolished. This is not just a tradition. For example, the twenty-four solar terms of the lunar calendar are an important reference for farmers to cultivate (before and after Grain Rain, melons and beans were planted), which is irreplaceable by the solar calendar. Although there are greenhouses now, we have to say that vegetables in this season are the healthiest. In addition, the lunar calendar is a tradition for thousands of years. Wouldn't it be awkward to mark all kinds of traditional festivals on the Gregorian calendar? The solar calendar can't completely solve all the problems of the lunar calendar.
